Dr. Amina Azam, OD

Dr. Azam successfully earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2019. Subsequently, she pursued her professional education at Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she attained her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2023 with cum laude honors.

In addition to her primary optometric curriculum, Dr. Azam distinguished herself by completing an advanced studies certificate in Anterior Segment Disease in 2023, specializing in conditions pertaining to the cornea. Her academic excellence is further underscored by her induction into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, recognizing her outstanding commitment to the field.

Dr. Azam’s exemplary leadership and service were acknowledged with an award, highlighting her significant contributions. She also garnered clinical honors during her rotations, which encompassed diverse settings such as private practices, medical ophthalmology, Low Vision, and the Baltimore VA Medical Center.

Her clinical expertise extends to medical examinations, encompassing diabetic retinal examinations, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Dr. Azam’s commitment to excellence is not only evident in her professional pursuits but also in her dedication to continuing education and specialization.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Azam values quality time with her family and indulges in her passion for travel.
